John is a retired North Carolina educator that has served as a classroom teacher, “Educator on Loan” to the NC Department of Public Instruction and as the Technology Specialist for Faculty Development in the College of Education, Appalachian State University. He has promoted and served several environmental education organizations and initiatives in the state and has a personal passion for music and music education.
